Description
The North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD) seeks to invest in proactive approaches to criminal justice for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (I/DD) to keep them safe and keep them out of the criminal justice system during interactions with law enforcement officials and/or first responders in emergency situations and in times of crisis.
Budget
Please attach a budget for Year 1 that includes the $110,000 of NCCDD’s funds and $36,667 or more in Non-Federal Matching Funds.
Additional Detail: In addition to submitting a proposal for this RFA, you must complete the budget form in DD Suite for the first year of your initiative. This initiative is funded in the amount of $110,000. A 25% non-Federal match in the amount of $36,667 is required for this initiative for a total budget of $146,667. This matching requirement means that 25% of the total initiative budget (Council funds + Match Funds) must come from non-Federal funds (e.g. state, local, agency, and/or private funds). If you need assistance calculating the amount required for the federal grant match, please download this Excel tool.
Who May Apply
Applications are welcomed that demonstrate qualified and responsible capacity for conducting the activities described. You may submit a Notification of Intent to Apply if your organization or agency intends to apply to RFAInfo@nccdd.org. Eligible entities include any individuals, organizations, agencies, or businesses demonstrating an expertise in the focus area of this initiative. To be eligible, non-profit private entities who apply must submit proof of 501(c)3 status with a current IRS determination letter. The Council will not consider applications submitted by agencies that do not meet eligibility to apply for funding.
